Help the Capital Area United Way Volunteer Center "Rake" a Difference for Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 28, 2006.  Volunteers are needed to rake the leaves at homes of very low income senior and disabled home owners in the greater Lansing area.  Due to budget cuts, the service is desperately needed for home owners who don't have the ability to perform the service themselves and can't afford to pay someone to do it.  We will be meeting at Cristo Rey Community Center (1717 N. High St., Lansing) at 8:30 a.m.  We will have coffee, juice and donuts.  Volunteers will then disperse to their home(s) to rake until appoximately 12:00 p.m.  Individuals and groups are welcome!
