The House of Peace & Education, Inc. (HOPE) is a nonprofit interfaith organization committed to counteracting violence and promoting peace. In a safe, welcoming, nurturing environment, HOPE offers academic support, leadership development, empowering relationships, and spiritual values to people in need, especially to women and children at risk.
Our vision is to inspire in each HOPE woman and child an appreciation of the value of education and a desire for peace.

Description:
HOPE's staff and volunteers provide programs of education, support and job-skill training for women and children in the Greater Gardner area in a home-like neighborhood center. These programs include group mentoring for children in K-12, Afterschool programs for grades 3-12,computer training for women, and a family support program.

History:
Founded as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 1996, HOPE offers services to eligible participants. Services are funded chiefly through grants, fundraising and private donations that are tax deductible.

HOPE reflects the spirit and values of its founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph. However the organization is non-denominational, welcoming all without distinction among its participants, volunteers, staff and board.
