Montachusett Regional YMCA Youth Basketball League
Logo

The YMCA continues to fulfill its mission of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities with programs that focus on the development of the whole person -- spirit, mind and body.

Description:
The YMCA offers a Youth Basketball League for boys and girls in grades 1-4 and for grades 5-8.
We provide children with opportunities to learn and develop sport skills in a safe, healthy, fun-filled environment.
Making a difference in a child's life, being a role model, and teaching sport skills and fundamentals is highly rewarding. Receiving smiles and thanks from the kids and seeing them return to the league season after season are good measures of our success. This program is operated mostly by volunteer parents and interested individuals.

History:
The YMCA Youth Basketball League runs in the fall and winter for 12 weeks.
YMCA Youth Sports provides opportunities not only for physical development but also for personal growth and the teaching of YMCA values: honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. When staff, volunteers, coaches and referees focus on character, the participants get to be "winners" in their everyday lives.

One registration fee will be waived for volunteer coaches and officials. Due to issues relating to insurance, any persons requesting volunteer and/or community service hours must complete an application of employment, including a Criminal Offender Record Information Form. The YMCA enforces a very strict policy regarding information received form the CORI form.
