Habitat for Humanity Home Building

Volunteer Opportunity Details: Last updated on July 17, 2009 In 2009, we anticipate working in Fitchburg, Gardner, Lancaster and Westminster. Please visit our website at www.ncmhabitat.org and consider signing up for a volunteer shift! You do not need construction experience to volunteer. But, did you know that more than 80% of the work for Habitat for Humanity home is done long before the ground is even broken? It's true! We need volunteers to help us start a Habitat for Humanity home in their communities. Help us fundraise, locate land, work with schools, colleges, churches, synagogues, and mosques, and help us select and work with our homeowners. We also rely on volunteer certified and trained professionals -- architects, engineers, builders, attorneys, land planners, Realtors, appraisers, surveyors, etc. You can help! As a non-profit organization, we are always short staffed and welcome office help. Computer skills are a must. Adolescents must be age 16 and up to work on one of our construction sites.
