You have the pleasure of tutoring adults want to improve their reading skills on a one on one basis.
You would also have the unique opportunity to work with an immigrant adult who would like to improve their English skills. We have clients who need to learn English from beginning stages up to and including those who have fairly good English skills but want to improve their speaking, writing and reading skills.
We provide free professional training at least twice a year for each category; Adult Basic Education as well as English for Speakers of Other Languages. Those interested must have a high school education, or the equivalent, and have their own transportation.
We highly recommend that tutors and students meet at the library of their choice, and the time of their choice.

This opportunity is sponsored by: Literacy Volunteers Of The Montachusett Area
We need volunteers who are free at these times
