Looking for women to mentor young girls in teen pregnancy prevention program

Volunteer Opportunity Details: Last updated on October 26, 2009 We are starting a new program for 8th grade Latina girls. As part of this program we are pairing each girl with an female mentor from the community. Mentors need to be able to commit to at least one hour/week from Nov 09 - Jun 10. Mentors must be caring, committed and dependable and have a genuine interest in establishing a mutual and respectful relationship with a teen. Mentors are required to attend a day long training before being paired with a participant. There will be on-going training and support for mentors as well.
