We hold all our coaches in high regard; we don’t just recruit coaches and let them go, our coaches are always able to return for as many seasons as they like. Each coach is given a background check for the safety of the children.
Becoming a volunteer coach for the Montachusett Regional YMCA helps children, and it also gives adults the chance to work with and learn from children.
If you've never coached youth basketball before, you may be in for a surprise! Making a difference in a child's life, being a role model, and teaching sport skills and fundamentals can be highly rewarding. Receiving smiles and thanks from your kids and seeing them return to the league the next season are good measures of your success.
So you haven't coached before? That's all right! You don't need a long list of coaching experiences. You need to be knowledgeable about Basketball. You need to care about kids, be patient, and be motivated to coach. A sense of humor can't hurt. Enthusiasm is a plus. Being organized and reliable also helps.

This opportunity is sponsored by: Montachusett Regional YMCA Youth Basketball League
We need volunteers who are free at these times
