I feel like I am giving something back

I joined the CDC shortly after their NeighborWooks event 3 years ago. I saw how they had transformed a blighted barren landscape into a thriving vibrant neighborhood. The work they had done planted a seed and today that area of the city is on the verge of a renaissance. This was all accomplished through grassroots efforts; ordinary people in partnership with the city. Today I am helping (I hope) to continue this noble work. posted on September 7, 2005
