Day Of Caring!
Active May 22, 2006 to Sep 22, 2006

Please Join United Way to

Participate in their

11th Annual

Day of Caring

Thursday, September 21, 2006

We guarantee you’ll never feel so invigorated, refreshed and satisfied from a day’s work.  That’s what our volunteers tell us every year when they participate in the Day of Caring. Hundreds of individuals from organizations large and small spend the day sprucing up non-profit agencies, reading to a disabled child, or sorting and packaging food donations. These are just a few of the initiatives that will help improve lives and strengthen our community.

In past years, over 200 volunteers from 31 area companies donate the day to assist local health and human service agencies with a host of maintenance projects.

! DAY OF CARING !

United Ways asks you to join in and volunteer your time!

United Way agencies from throughout the region are asked if they need help with maintenance or other projects that normally cannot get done by the agency due to financial and personnel constraints.

The Day of Caring volunteers anticipate tackling approximately 50 projects at 25 non-profit agencies. Some of the projects include lawn work, painting, and restocking a food pantry.
