North Central Mass Habitat Home Needs Volunteers!

LEIGHTON STREET CONSTRUCTION NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

With the completion of  Walnut Street in April, efforts now focus on 192 Leighton Street, Fitchburg.  This home, entirely built by students at Montachusett Regional Technical High School, will be completed in June.  Habitat VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED on this challenging site to construct retaining walls and design and install landscaping.  Please go to the  VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION page (http://www.ncmhabitat.org/volunteers.html) for available dates in May, June and July.

Next Fitchburg House Schedule to Begin

The next Habitat for Humanity project in the city will have the full force of Rotary District 7910 behind it. Representatives of the Rotary District, along with family members chosen for this house, recently signed a letter of intent with Habitat for Humanity for the house to be built onEssex Street. A ground-breaking is scheduled for Sept. 13, and the project is expected to take six to nine months to complete.

Local Project Committees

Local Project Committees bring together resident volunteers who work to obtain a building site for a Habitat house, raise awareness and support for a Habitat project in their town, and raise the funds to build the Habitat house.
