19th Annual Westminster Town Benefit Saturday August 13, 2006 The Common on Academy Hill 11am-5pm Free Admission Neighbors Helping Neighbors For more information, click here Neighbors Helping Neighbors is celebrating 19 years as an all-volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide assistance for residents of Westminster who are face with tragedy. Though we are unable to prevent accidents, fires, life challenging illnesses and other difficulties, we strive to ease the pain. Since its inception in 1987, Neighbors Helping Neighbors has helped OVER 75 families through difficult times. Just in the past year alone, as a result of the generosity demonstrated by our local business and community members, we have provided financial assistance to 19 Westminster families. We have provided medical equipment for handicapped children and adults, assistance with rental and mortgage payments, assistance for food, medicine, transportation and much more. For many years, this was accomplished through our own fund-raising activities. In recent years, however, families, businesses, organizations, churches, and schools have held their own events and projects and generously donated the proceeds to Neighbors Helping Neighbors. We have also been selected as the charity of choice for memorial gifts by families who have lost loved ones. All this has been accomplished without any Federal, State or Municipal funding. We look forward to your continued support which will allow Neighbors Helping Neighbors to pursue its mission of helping Westminster families. Westminster Benefit Day is our annual fund raising event. The Day offers fun activities; the Big Raffle, dunk tank, bake sale, Chinese auction, entertainment, food and games for the young and old, alike. Please join us this year.
