The Mission of the Center for Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Survivors is to advocate for non-violence through intervention, education, and prevention in order to create a safe environment for all individuals, families, and communities.

Description:
Volunteers assist staff in many different areas including shelter, pet therapy, children's and/or women's group, fundraising, and office help. Volunteers are needed in Platte, Colfax, Butler, Boone, Nance, and Polk counties. Bilingual volunteers are needed in all areas. All volunteers are required to complete an application form. The volunteer coordinator will conduct an interview with each applicant. A criminal background check and CPS (child protective services) check will be done on each potential volunteer. Each volunteer will attend 12 hours of training before working with clients. Especially need volunteers who would be available during the day ( 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Contact the volunteer coordinator at 564-2155.
