The Community Safety Network is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide shelter and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and stalking in order to achieve a lasting change in the lives of those affected by those crimes.
Description:
The Community Safety Network strives to reach our goal of providing lasting change to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking through the comprehensive free services we offer. People who are fleeing violence in their homes will find 24-hour and confidential emergency housing at the Community Safety Network safe house. The 6-bedroom ADA compliant facility is staffed around the clock in order to provide support and services for victims and their children. Services include safety planning, life skills and counseling referrals, therapeutic support groups and parenting support along with assistance to find safe and affordable housing free from violence. In addition to shelter, we offer legal advocacy and support groups for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, emotional support, individual counseling and a 24-hour helpline that is staffed by trained advocates around the clock. Community Safety Network also directs public awareness to the problem of relationship violence and has developed an extensive educational curriculum focusing on prevention for both teens and adults.
