The purpose of the Leadership Council shall be to advocate for American Red Cross of Wyoming in the Bridger-Teton Branch service area, including serving as a community voice to the Red Cross and a Red Cross voice to the community. Additionally the Council membership works to ensure that fund development produces resources adequate to provide quality service delivery for the community. Members will be relied upon to stay in touch with their respective communities, provide advice to the manager, recruit new donors and service delivery volunteers, identify local needs, and fulfill fundraising functions. The Council will also act as a strategic think tank regarding expansion of existing community programs and the development of new community services. Members of the Leadership Council form the core leadership of the American Red Cross of Wyoming within Bridger-Teton Branch service area. They help the chapter fulfill its mission, meet its responsibilities, and address specific community needs. They are generous to the fullest extent they can be; help promote the chapter; and lead and participate in fundraising activities to ensure the financial stability of the chapter. Council members have no legal or fiduciary responsibility, and cannot be held personally liable for the activities or actions of the corporation, although they do accept a moral responsibility. Additionally, their role does not include direct involvement in day-to-day operational matters or in the administration of internal affairs.
