Every day the American Red Cross works within your community to provide relief to people who have suffered a disaster, and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Our vital work is made possible by over one million volunteers nationwide. We depend on volunteers, who constitute 96 percent of our total work force, to carry on our humanitarian work. The Greater Chicago Chapter jurisdiction includes Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, & Will counties, with offices in Arlington Heights, Chicago-West Loop, Hillside, Mundelein, Romeoville, and Chicago – South Side. There are volunteer opportunities within each of these communities whether you have five hours a week or five hours a year!
