Literacy Rotation (Early Childhood, age 3-5): Groups of two to four volunteers rotate between each early childhood education classroom facilitating literacy enrichment activities for approximately 15 minutes in each classroom. Each literacy rotation is designed around a particular theme developed with input from volunteers. Each rotation is comprised of the following activities: interactive reading of book, interactive song, learning game, physical game, food experience, and art project. Purpose: To provide quality interactive and educational activities for pre-school children focused on a particular theme.
Requirements: Patience, a love for children, and the ability to interact with children at their level. Literacy rotations are held from 9:15am to 12pm and can be scheduled any day of the week at the two sites below. A minimum of 12 volunteers and maximum of 20 volunteers are necessary.
