Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports is committed to empowering individuals with disabilities. We believe sports and recreation provides a physical, mental and social experience that is immeasurable in promoting self confidence and independence in an individual. We encourage people of all ages with disabilities to participate in our year round sports programs; we provide support for people who need financial assistance.
Description:
Current adaptive programs include: Alpine skiing, snowboarding, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, indoor rock climbing, therapeutic horseback riding, cycling, and special event activities including camps, dogsledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and water skiing. Program locations: Pico Mountain, Killington, VT; Sugarbush Resort, Warren, VT; Bolton Valley, Bolton, VT, Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center, Burlington, VT; Stoughton Pond, Springfield, VT; Lake Bomoseen, Castleton, VT. Moonrise Farm, Taftsville, VT. Other locations by activity.
