Agency Details:
Girls On The Run, Vermont
Educating and preparing girls for a lifetime of self respect and healthy living.
Description:
Girls on the Run is a ten-week character building program for girls in grades 3 through 8 that combines life skills lessons with training for a 5K run/walk. The program provides the necessary tools for girls to manage the challenges of adolescence so they are better prepared to live full, contented lives as the wonderful adult women they will become. GOTR VT relies on volunteers to coach the girls from March through early June at schools throughout the state and to assist at the 5k event in Chittenden County each June.
