Richmond Land Trust
The Richmond Land Trust is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to strengthen our community by conserving clean water, wildlife habitat, local food sources, outdoor recreations, historic sites and other important resources throughout our town.
Description:
Since its founding in 1987, the Richmond Land Trust has established and managed five public nature preserves, two canoe launches and a popular rivershore hiking trail. We've also helped several private landowners assure that the special qualities of their properties will not be lost in the future. All told, we've conserved more than 660 acres of key natural, agricultural and historic resources, and we're currently working on several exciting projects to safeguard even more of the local landscape.
