Burlington Area Community Gardens

Burlington Area Community Gardens (BACG) is a program of the Burlington Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with volunteer gardening enthusiasts. Its purpose is to provide gardening opportunities, gardening support services, and gardening educational programs. In pursuit of this mission, BACG will undertake to improve, preserve, expand, and beautify the community garden site areas for the enjoyment and use of the greater Burlington community and promote the perpetuation of green space within the City.

Description:
Community gardens are areas designated for community members to come together to garden side by side. At each site, individual plots are rented to interested gardeners who sign up every year. A small fee is paid in exchange for the right to grow within individual plots. Each plot represents a family, individual, or organization that has committed to growing their vegetables, herbs and flowers organically.
