Winooski Parks And Recreation

Winooski Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to promoting lifelong wellness, and enriching the lives of community members by developing high quality and affordable programs, activities, and events while maintaining facilities and open spaces for public use. We strive to promote health and wellness in our community members with a comprehensive approach. Our programs range from sports leagues, to parenting classes with Prevent Child Abuse Vermont, to Community Potlucks, to a nine-week summer program that provides free meals, and free supervised programming to youth in Winooski. Winooski has a diverse population of residents representing many countries, ages, and income levels. Winooski Parks and Recreation works to meet the various needs of its community members while working to strengthen Winooski through community based programs and events.

Description:
Winooski Parks and Recreation offers a variety of programs for Winooski residents of all ages and abilities, and all income levels. We strive to provide a combination of free and for fee programs, events and activities. Our programs range from our nine week Summer Youth Food and Enrichment Program, Youth and Community Gardens, Community Potlucks, youth sports, adult enrichment classes, and educational programs such as the Nurturing Parenting Program.
