The CTA is a member-supported nonprofit that works to build, maintain and conserve the Catamount Trail, a 300-mile public ski trail the length of Vermont, and enhance the health and wellbeing of the public through Nordic skiing.
Description:
The CTA is a 2000 member-supported nonprofit that relies on hundreds of volunteers to help build and maintain the Catamount Trail, a 300-mile public ski and snowshoe trail the length of Vermont. It also protects the Trail by conveying easements and working directly with hundreds of landowners throughout the State. The CTA also provides about 50 guided winter ski tours and events open to the public, publishes three yearly newsletters, provides ski instruction and promotes the Trail through various means.
