The Brownell Library provides a current and diverse collection for all ages in a welcoming and comfortable environment where people come first. The staff's mission is to help patrons utilize the library's resources and to provide opportunities for community enrichment and cultural awareness.
Description:
Brownell Library is located in the Village of Essex Junction . The library serves the residents of Essex Junction and extends borrowing privileges to residents of Chittenden country through the HomeCard system. The library has a collection of 69,000 books, magazines, videos, DVDs, newspapers, music cassettes, CDs, and recoded books that accommodates all ages, reading levels, interests, and skill levels. In addition, Brownell Library offers public access computers for internet and word processing use. Each month, the library presents educational and entertaining programs for children and adults that promote cultural awareness, literacy, and personal development.
