George Vaillant, renowned physician and author of Aging Well: Surprising Guideposts to a Happier Life from the Landmark Harvard Study of Adult Development notes that 2 of the guideposts for happy longevity are having good people in our lives and learning to play and create after retirement. This, along with attention to physical wellbeing through nutrition and exercise sets the foundation of the of the Champlain Senior Center approach.

The Champlain Senior Center is member driven and programs are clustered in four major focus areas: nutrition and health, exercise for physical and mental wellbeing, community connection and information and referral. We provide congregate meals, exercise programs for all abilities, health & wellness clinics including blood pressure and foot care; enrichment programs in the arts, chorus, drama, computer classes, intergenerational activities, peer support, and information and referral for a variety of topic areas.
Our hours are T-F 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
