To help children thrive by serving families with children; pregnant teens and young adults; and adoptive families. To achieve that mission, Lund Family Center offers a therapeutic residential treatment program for pregnant and parenting young women, a comprehensive adoption program, a powerful teen pregnancy prevention program, and a wide range of child and family services.

Description:
Lund Family Center, a non-profit, multi-service agency that has served children and families since 1893, annually improves the quality of life for more than 4,000 individuals. Lund Family Center is: the leader in Vermont adoptions, placing over 200 children in adoptive families each year; the authority on teen pregnancy prevention and services for pregnant and parenting young women; and a critical support in strengthening families throughout Chittenden County. Programs include: a NAEYC accredited early childhood center; parent education workshops and support; Boot Camp for New Dads; job training and support; pre-school, after-school, and playgroups; home visiting services; comprehensive educational services for residents and day students working toward their diploma or GED; comprehensive life-long service for birthmothers, adoptive families, and adopted children; teen pregnancy prevention; individual and group therapy; drug treatment for residents and outpatients; residential treatment and transitional housing for pregnant and parenting teens; and, pre- and post-natal care and childbirth education.
