Seeking members for YWCA of Vermont Finance Committee: The finance committee meets 6-8 times per year, and oversees the organization’s financial health, including general budgeting and accounting practices and policies, investment and endowment policies, etc. General comfort with these topics and commitment to our mission is more important than having specific professional experience— while we would welcome an investment banker, a smart, engaged firefighter or florist could be just as successful. We have committee members who are on the Board, and some who are not. This is a great opportunity for a younger woman to gain leadership experience, and to be a part of our work at an exciting time in the life of the organization.
