Greyhound Rescue of Vermont is looking for foster homes! Help a retired racedog or shelter dog adjust to "home life". The dogs may come directly from the track, a previous home, or a shelter, and will need assistance adjusting to his/her new life (learning stairs, manners, housebreaking, etc.). GRV provides guidelines for care and training, and offers continual follow-up care. We will also provide all materials needed, including crates, blankets, collars/leashes, food, and medical expenses. Foster families care for the dogs as if they were one of their own, until a "forever home" is found. Greyhounds are matched with the appropriate setting for both foster and "forever home" situations. Volunteers should pick up a copy of "Retired Racing Greyhounds for Dummies." They should have the ability and desire to devote time and energy to foster the dog. They should be willing/able to accept GRV guidelines, transport the dog to Meet-and-Greets or other events, and willing to have prospective adopters come to their home (or mutually agreed upon location). They must have patience and TLC. This opportunity is sponsored by: Greyhound Rescue Of Vermont
