Volunteer Opportunity Details:

We currently have an opening for Mondays from 10 am to noon beginning in October 2009. Montgomery Library is a unique place because we are staffed largely by volunteers. The part time director is the only paid position. Our volunteers generally take a 2 hour shift per week. Some volunteers share a shift and come in every other week, and others help with special projects as needed. We provide training and support, and substitutes are available when needed.
As a library volunteer, you learn new skills, meet and help nice people, and spend time in a pleasant environment.

Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Training consists of a 1 &1/2 hour meeting with the Director. Volunteers must be reliable and responsible, and able to work independently because the library hours depend on each volunteer being here for your shift.
