Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteer drivers provide transportation for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Volunteers provide client transportation to medical appointments and other authorized transportation trips. A volunteer driver uses their own personal vehicle to provide transportation scheduled by GMTA. Volunteer drivers assist clients into and out of vehicles and to the door of the destination as necessary. Volunteers must have a valid and current driver's license. Volunteer drivers receive a mileage reimbursement for services they provide. Volunteers must be able to safely operate a vehicle. There is light lifting required i.e. grocery bags. Volunteers must understand simple instructions related to locations they will be picking up clients. Volunteers are required to read these instructions off a driver manifest. Periodic PASS training is provided by GMTA staff. This opportunity is sponsored by: Green Mountain Transit Agency
