The Kids-A-Part (KAP) Program of Vermont Children's Aid Society is looking for volunteers to meet the needs of children with incarcerated mothers at North West State Correctional Facility in Swanton. If you have some free time, even as little as an hour or two a week and are interested in any of the following: Assisting with transportation of children to parent: child visits Assisting with supervising and coordinating the activities for parent: child visits Assisting with evening phone calls between mothers and their children Offering consistent group opportunities to women such as:letter writing or reading books on tapes to their children.
You must be willing to attend a Kids-A-Part training as well as the NWSCF security training; which includes a criminal record check. This opportunity is sponsored by: Vermont Children's Aid
