Event Coordination
Powered by Truist

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on August 25, 2009

When we have a speaker request, an event coordinator (you) would get the details. Then, you would ask the overall coordinator which speakers would be best for that event. You would contact one or more of those speakers, giving them all the info they would need.

In preparing for the event itself, you would check in with both the audience contact and the presenter(s) to confirm the arrangements.

There may be a need to help create flyers the audience would use for publicity. You also might need to go along with the speaker (on rare occasions).

It would be ideal if you had a bit of experience with event coordination and/or with people who have psychiatric challenges, but that is not required. Having a car, phone, and computer is necessary.
