Do you like attention to detail? Do you enjoy working with the public? Do you want to make a difference in your community? The Red Cross needs your help! Become a Registration Volunteer and use the skills you're already good at! Welcome donors, track and organize donors and lists, answer questions or refer questions to appropriate staff. Volunteers must have basic reading and writing skills and ability to interact with others in a pleasant and courteous manner. On the job training, retraining and updates are provided. Volunteers work flexible 2-hour shifts during center hours. Our Center hours are 9-6 M-F and every Saturday 7:30-1pm. Application and in-person or phone interview required. Registration volunteers are trained on the day of their first shift. Volunteers must be able to follow a sequence of steps so that the registration process runs smoothly and FDA rules are followed. Although some assistance is available during exceptionally busy times, volunteers are expected to work quickly and systematically enough to keep up with donors as they go through the registration process. This opportunity is sponsored by: American Red Cross Blood Services, New England Region - Burlington
