After-School Child Care Assistant

Do you want to have fun AND make a difference? Come volunteer in the center's after-school program and play like a kid again! Volunteers are needed to initiate and supervise activities with groups of elementary school children, ages 5-11. Activities include: arts & crafts,group games, cooking and baking, homework help, reading stories, and community outings. The program operates school days, from 2:30pm - 5:00pm. Must be able to work with children one-on-one and in groups and be compassionate and patient.

Volunteers need references and must consent to a background check. No commitment is necessary, but consistency benefits the kids.
