Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers are needed to transport elders to medical appointments, grocery stores, banks, etc. Elders may need help getting in and out of vehicle, transporting wheelchair or oxygen tanks, or reaching grocery items. Volunteers enable seniors to remain independent in the setting of their choice. Flexible schedule; 1-2 hours per trip. Benefits include seeing the difference you make in someone's life, contributing to the greater good of your community, obtaining experience working with seniors, and receiving ongoing support and recognition from CVAA staff. Seniors reside in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties. Volunteers must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, adequate insurance, and reliable vehicle. Requirements also include ability to converse with people of all backgrounds and philosophies, ability to understand and practice confidentiality, dependability and accountability to seniors, and ability to set clear, reasonable boundaries.
