Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers are needed for residents to provide several services in connection to offender accountability. Volunteers meets with probationers and their victims to collaboratively determine how to repair the harm caused by the offense. Volunteers also meet with offenders who are re-entering the community after being incarcerated, as well as to help determine sanctions of supervised offenders. Volunteers should have good listening and communication skills, be sensitive to victim issues and able to hold people accountable. Criminal background check is required but past criminal history does not necessarily disqualify a potential volunteer. Orientation and training provided.
