Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers are needed to accompany residents of our Assisted Living section to medical appointments. RN will call the volunteer to schedule, the volunteer comes to Cathedral Square, picks up paperwork, accompanies the resident by taxi or SSTA van to and from the appointment (may need to call taxi for return trip). No charge to volunteer for the transportation. Each trip will take approximately 2 1/2 hours. Must be able to push a wheelchair, have good communication skills, patience and judgment; have some experience with older adults and be comfortable with those with physical or cognitive impairments. Application, interview, references and background check required.
