Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on June 21, 2009

Learn more about the animals that live in the Basin!
ECHO is home to over 55 species of animals, including fish, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Help is needed with the day to day care, feeding and maintenance of the animals and their enclosures. Volunteers in this position also interact with the public while doing daily animal feedings and work with our Exhibit Interpreters in assisting with live animal demonstrations.

Persons applying should not be afraid to get their hands wet or dirty! This is an active job; volunteers should be in good physical health and be able to lift 20-40 pounds. Experience with animals and/or aquariums preferred but not necessary. We can work with snake phobics!

Receive in depth training before working independently feeding, weighing and caring for animals and their habitats.
