In House Staff Volunteers will provide caring support to guest families, take guest referrals, register incoming guest families, check-out guests, answer the phone, act as a resource person, and welcome donations from members of the community at large. Volunteers also occasionally help keep the Ronald McDonald House clean and orderly by checking guest rooms and completing light housekeeping tasks. Volunteers must be kind, compassionate and have good listening skills, be at least 18 years or over, be able to understand and follow procedures and guidelines, and respect confidentiality of guest families. Each volunteer will attend a one-on-one volunteer orientation, and then shadow an experienced volunteer for at least three shifts. Volunteers work in three-hour shifts throughout the day, seven days a week between 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Burlington
