| Last updated on September 10, 2009 |
The Salvation Army Christmas Castle program provides food, clothing, and toys to needy families throughout the Greater Burlington area. Volunteers are needed to help sort food, pack food baskets, sort toys and new clothing throughout the Christmas Castle dates. Each year, The Salvation Army helps over 600 families through this program with contributions of food, toys and clothes from VT Toys for Kids, individuals, businesses, churches, schools and more. Through the support of volunteers for this program hundreds of families have food for Christmas Dinner, gifts for children, and new warm winter clothing. The Christmas Castle program has volunteers donate their time during two shifts (9-1, 1-5) at the Castle location.
Volunteers and volunteer group leaders must register with The Salvation Army to volunteer at this event. Children under 13 are not allowed to volunteer unless part of an organized group (school, church, club). This opportunity is sponsored by: Salvation Army, Greater Burlington Area
