If you enjoy mentoring kids, then this is a great volunteer opportunity to assist with Special Olympics Young Athlete Program. Main duties will include assisting the Athletic Director with children, ages 2-7. Volunteers will be asked to take a hands-on role with helping assisting the athletes improve their physical, social and cognitive skills via specific play activities. The volunteers needed must bring a positive attitude and be able to encourage the athletes with positive feedback. The training facility is not wheelchair accessible. Volunteers must be able to climb 2 flights of stairs. Volunteers must bring a smile!
