Building a world of inclusion for people with health conditions and disabilities through volunteer, employment and media opportunities.

The hallmark program of ABILITY Awareness is the ABILITY Build. Built in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity affiliates nationwide, ABILITY Builds engage people with all ranges of health conditions and disabilities in active construction of low-income homes. Through these highly visible volunteer opportunities, people with disabilities demonstrate their skills, talents and employability to the community... and themselves!

History:
ABILITY Awareness was founded in 1995 and the first ABILITY Build was conducted in 1999. Since then we've built from one side of the country to the other including California (where we're based), Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland, Hawaii and more.
