TOP's doors are always open to both experienced and inexperienced professional and amateur actors and artists of all backgrounds to join TOP's Artistic Collaborative Troupe (ACT) of talented Bloomington residents, IU students, and other Hoosiers.
If you're looking to gain performance art experience in a collaborative setting or if you're looking to tell new and original stories as an integral part of a supportive ensemble, then TOP is most certainly a safe place for you to express yourself in a passionate way.
Because TOP's main focus is building an artistic ensemble from scratch each show, TOP never casts for type or other restrictive category. Instead, TOP's primary task during auditions is determining how well an actor or artist works with others and whether or not an actor or artist projects an inspiring attitude.
Participants are responsible for working within an artistic ensemble that values the "human" process of creating collaborative artwork instead of the end "product" of a director's vision.
As a result, participants are encouraged to demonstrate compassion toward their fellow artists and to assist in positive team-building that is centered around participant feedback.
