Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on September 11, 2009 |
You absolutely love animals and want to see to it that they are cared for in the best way possible. The Humane Society is looking for you! If you want to spend time with felines and canines (walking them, etc.), or if you want to perform kennel duty, please call today and volunteer. This is a 7-day a week/3-times a day need. If you have only one day per month that you can help, this is the opportunity for you to show your animal love in a meaningful way. A volunteer application must be completed through the Humane Society. Contact Dana Richard at the agency. Court-appointed volunteers are at the discretion of the director. Basic pet care knowledge is helpful, and a background check may be performed. Little, if any, heavy lifting is involved, and a Spanish/English bi-lingual volunteer would be appreciated. An orientation and training will be provided. Volunteers must love animals. This opportunity is sponsored by: Humane Society Of Northwest Georgia
We need volunteers who are free at these times

Overall Experience

Volunteering here was such a fun and rewarding experience.

The Wade Adoption Center is an awesome place to volunteer at. The people are so nice and willing to help you with anything, but the best part is the animals. The cats have a little mini house to themselves called the catery. Let me tell you these cats are living the spoiled prince/princess life they were meant to have. After cleaning up a little we got to play with them, and they are super loving cats. The dogs were my personal favorites though. I fell in love with so many of them, and enjoyed spending time with them each week. Everytime I came to the Adoption Center there were new animals to get to know. The other volunteers were awesome, and I highly reccomend that anyone who loves animals to check this place out. I'm sure you will love it! Volunteering my time here was such a rewarding experience by knowing that in some way I am making these animals day by just coming and spending time with them. posted on November 5, 2008 |
