Looking for volunteers that love to sew and work with children ages 9-19. There are two wonderful volunteers that run the program and we are limiting the class to 16 students. We would like to have more volunteers and their sewing machines for one on one attention for the students. The following information was given to all 5th and 6th grade students in Murray County. Come all you future 4-H sewing stars and start your sewing machines for another season of fun on the Hilltop. You will make projects for yourself and projects to give to other people. We are going to make bibs for the Chatsworth Health Care Center for Christmas, and clothing for orphans in China in January. The cost is $25 for January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, and May 11. The time will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the 4-H center.
All new volunteers are background checked through the University of Georgia. It takes two weeks to go through. A references form is sent to two of your references, and then an interview with Sharon Lichey, the Murray County 4-H Agent. This opportunity is sponsored by: Murray County 4-H
We need volunteers who are free at these times
