Welcome to the 16th Annual Foothills United Way's Day of Caring
Day of Caring is one of the largest one-day volunteer efforts annually in
Boulder and Broomfield counties. Local volunteers are paired with nonprofits to
complete a variety of much needed projects. 2008 was a record-setting year
for Day of Caring, with more than 900 participants donating
nearly $73,000 worth of volunteer time on one day!
Get Involved. Any company, community
group, social group or individual interested in making a difference can
volunteer for Day of Caring. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
UNITE your organization. Day of
Caring volunteers provide thousands of hours of service and valuable skills to
agencies in our community, allowing those agencies to serve more clients more
efficiently.
For your business or organization, Day of Caring provides a simple, effective
and highly visible way to demonstrate strong corporate citizenship, community
leadership and a culture of philanthropy. It also provides great teambuilding
opportunities for employee groups - something outside the office to collaborate
on and feel good about.
Sign up. Choose a project. Make a difference. Day
of Caring volunteers can take part in a wide variety of projects. Some may
deliver meals to homebound persons, or help glean crops that will be used to
provide fresh vegetables to those in need of food. Some may help organize files
in a health clinic or repair and repaint a building that provides emergency
shelter. From construction to landscaping, from human service to arts and
crafts, there is something for every volunteer - something that will make a
lasting impact on many lives.

Boulder Housing Partners
Agency Details:
Boulder Housing Partners
Boulder Housing Partners provides quality, affordable housing, developed and managed with respect for the dignity of all involved. We also seek to create a sense of community strength and spirit that supports resident efforts to realize success in their lives.
Description:
Affordable housing is one of the most fundamental of all human needs. Boulder Housing Partners has almost 1000 units of housing in the City of Boulder, 75% which are for low-income families, seniors, and adults with disabilities. We provide 235 units of housing for seniors and adults with disabilities, the majority of whom are on fixed incomes.
History:
Boulder Housing Partners began in June of 1966 supported by the City of Boulder. The vision established then and carried out today is integrating public housing into the community by building units that become a part of a neighborhood, not a neighborhood in itself. Over the years Boulder Housing Partners has experienced the ebbs and flows of federal assistnace which has led the organization to develop a number of funding sources including affordable and market rate units. Boulder Housing Partners collaborates with many agencies for resident services as well as ones for encouraging self sufficiency.
