Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on May 12, 2009

HCWR provides non-judgmental crisis intervention and advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and homeless. Volunteer advocates assist by answering our 24 hour crisis line some nights and weekends from their own phone or cell phone. Advocates listen and offer resources, assist victims with filing protective orders, accompany women to court, or help get her to safety.

Advocates must undergo a 40 hour Advocacy Training Course provided by the agency's Advocacy Coordinator.
