Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Spend time with women being a "supportive presence." Up to 10 women are living in a house provided through the Women's Community Based Program and are in need of positive female role models. Connect with women through various interests, talents, experiences, and skills. Volunteers can commit as little or as much time as requested. Volunteering can be done individually or with a group of friends. Time can be spent just "hanging out" or spent participating in a more formal activity. The YWCA is looking for volunteers to spend time with the women on evenings and anytime on weekends. This volunteer opportunity is very flexible! Volunteers must be female and at least 21 years of age. Before volunteers will be allowed to work with the women, background and reference checks have to be conducted and approved by the Volunteer Coordinator.

The YWCA has very low overhead costs and rents from Xcel Energy. The YWCA is located inside of the Xcel Energy building located in La Crosse's North side Industrial Park (by TCI and Duratech).
