Duties and Responsibilities:
Works in cooperation with other members of the leadership team to determine the marketing needs of the organization. Defines marketing goals and strategies. Manages a team of marketing volunteers (includes a Special Events Coordinator). Create print materials for program use, including brochures, flyers, posters, giveaways, etc. Works with national to optimize national marketing initiatives Works with special events coordinators (48 Hours; Forum/Homeless Youth Month, etc) to create collateral pieces to promote the events Leads media campaign throughout the year and at special event Assists in creating presentations for various community groups. Drafts articles and/or press releases. Creates and maintain a marketing calendar. Coordinates marketing events. Evaluates marketing effectiveness. Tracks volunteer hours and sends to Director of Volunteers at the end of the month. Reports all activities monthly to the Director Community Support Interviews and supervises marketing team volunteers.

Qualifications:
Ability to plan and manage work with minimum direction. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Strong sense of personal integrity. Sincere desire to help homeless and street kids. Some knowledge of Publisher or other software programs helpful. Marketing experience or desire to learn how to effectively market the organization.

Time Commitment:
5-10 Hours per month, calendared projects/special events may require a few more hours One monthly Community Support Team Meeting; Quarterly Volunteer Meetings
