Smart Start is the early education division of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta which is the SE Regional Center for Get Ready to Read.
Get Ready to Read is an early literacy program designed for parents and early childhood professionals. You will be able to assemble activities that highlight the early education side of arts and crafts.

Early childhood education is not required, but preferred.

Directions:

 Directions to United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta: From I-20 Eastbound: Exit #56B - Windsor/ Spring Street. Go straight to the third traffic light. Take a left on Central Avenue. Turn right onto Auburn Avenue, then right into the parking deck. After you’ve taken a ticket and parked in the parking deck, take the elevators to level 1. Come across the crosswalk into the United Way Building, our reception area is on the second floor. From I-20 Westbound: Exit #58A - Capital Avenue turn right at the light. Stay on Capitol Avenue, which changes into Piedmont Avenue after crossing MLK Jr. Drive. Turn left onto Auburn Avenue, cross over Courtland Street. The entrance to the parking deck is on the left. After you’ve taken a ticket and parked in the parking deck, take the elevators to level 1. Come across the crosswalk into the United Way Building, our reception area is on the second floor. I-75/85 Northbound: Exit #246 Central Avenue/ Fulton Street. Follow the signs to Fulton Street. At the light at the end of the ramp, turn right on Fulton Street. At the next light, turn left on Capitol Avenue. Capital Ave becomes Piedmont Avenue. After crossing MLK Jr. Drive, Capital Avenue becomes Piedmont Avenue. Turn left onto Auburn Avenue, cross over Courtland Street. The entrance into the parking deck will be on the left. After you’ve taken a ticket and parked in the parking deck, take the elevators to level 1. Come across the crosswalk into the United Way Building, our reception area is on the second floor. From I-75/85 Southbound: Exit #249A- Courtland Street is one - way street going south. Follow Courtland to Auburn Avenue, turn right. The entrance into the parking deck will be on the left. After you’ve taken a ticket and parked in the parking deck, take the elevators to level 1. Come across the crosswalk into the United Way Building, our reception area is on the second floor. On MARTA Northbound or Southbound Line: Take MARTA to the 5 Points Station; Exit the station on Peachtree Street. Head North on Peachtree Street (left). Edgewood Avenue will be one block up. Take a right onto Edgewood Avenue and walk about three blocks to 100 Edgewood. Take the elevators to the second floor reception area.
