Organization:

The Women's Sports Foundation is a national 501 (c)(3) educational and charitable organization that was founded by Billie Jean King in 1974 to advance the lives of women and girls through sports and physical activity. The organization launched GoGirlGo! Atlanta in 2004 with the objective is to maximize the use of sports as an educationalintervention and social asset in order to enhance the wellness of girls as they navigate between childhood and early womanhood.

Internship Description:

The GoGirlGo! Atlanta Community Office of the Women's Sports Foundation seeks a highly-qualified, hard-working, self-motivated graduate student for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain experience in a sports-related career and interact with the sports community. Assignments will include assisting with the coordination of special events and the distribution of GoGirlGo! educational materials to girl-serving programs; developing and maintaining contact with local target agencies and/or organizations; help execute fundraising and activism campaign plans; as well as data entry, forms management, andresponding to miscellaneous information requests and correspondence. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must. An interest in sports philanthropy/management/marketing or physical education is a PLUS. Intern reports to the GoGirlGo! Atlanta Project Manager.

Benefits: This is a PAID internship. $800 monthly stipend.
